The photographs that comprise this elegant retrospective collection were selected by Sommer himself from his personal archive and include a number of previously unpublished works. It contains early black-and-white images as well as his later collage pieces. Limited to 1,000 copies, The Box is a unique presentation which contains 50 images, each printed on a separate card, accompanied by a reprint of Sommer's classic The Poetic Logic of Art and Aesthetics. A wonderful and versatile format for this important photographer's work.
